Neljä Lab is an art space in Helsinki dedicated to Chinese ink painting, calligraphy, and contemporary ink art. Rooted in the philosophy of the Four Treasures — brush, ink, paper, and inkstone,  the space brings together tradition and modern exploration through practice, material, and dialogue.

We offer ink art workshops for beginners and experienced practitioners, creating a learning environment that emphasizes both technique and personal expression. Alongside education, Neljä Lab presents exhibitions and open calls, providing a platform for artists to share their work and engage with a wider audience.

We collaborate with artists through exhibitions, projects, and sales opportunities, supporting the visibility and circulation of ink-based and cross-disciplinary practices. Selected artworks and art products are available through the space, connecting artists with collectors and visitors.

In addition, Neljä Lab offers a curated selection of traditional ink art materials, including brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones, allowing participants to experience the full process of ink practice.

As a space, Neljä Lab moves between studio, exhibition platform, and cultural environment — a place where making, learning, and encountering art come together.
